Steel descaling process is applied when the surface of hot-rolled steel billets form scales (Iron trioxide, etc) when heated in a heating furnace. The process sprays high-pressure water onto the heated surface and effectively blasts away the scale layer. The purification rate can reach 98% or higher after descaling using high-pressure water. This will not only improve the product quality, but also reduce the abrasion of the rollers and the emission of smoke and dust during rolling process.
